ORIGIN & LEGACY
The famed author Rudyard Kipling's father, Mr. Lockwood Kipling, provided the design from which the Mayo College coat of arms was created. As India gained its independence, the school welcomed students from all communities and regions of the country and the rest of the world.

FOUNDED IN 1875
Nestled in the historic city of Ajmer, Rajasthan, Mayo College stands as a timeless beacon of tradition and excellence. Founded in 1875 by Richard Bourke, the 6th Earl of Mayo and then Viceroy of India, this revered institution has shaped generations of young minds.
Now, as the sun rises on a new chapter, we celebrate 150 years of legacy — a journey woven with honour, heritage, and the unwavering spirit of Mayo. From sandstone halls to silent courtyards, every corner echoes with the footsteps of the past and the promise of tomorrow.
OUR CAMPUS
The School, spread across 180 lush acres in Rajasthan's Aravali Hills, boasts abundant greenery despite its proximity to the desert. With 18 playing fields, a 9-hole Golf course, 60 horses, a climbing wall, three gyms, and two pools, it also hosts global exchange students.
