FASHION SHOW
MODENSCHAU!
Modenshau! celebrates the unique blend of Germany's rich cultural heritage and contemporary urban style. Each participating pair will showcase the contrast between authentic traditional German Tracht and modern Berlin street fashion, highlighting how tradition and innovation coexist in today's Germany through creativity, confidence, and style.
RULES
-
Each entry consists of two models walking as a pair — one styled in traditional German Tracht (Dirndl or Lederhosen), the other in modern Berlin street style. The contrast between heritage and contemporary identity must be clearly visible within a single coordinated walk.
-
Each walk must be 2–4 minutes long, and both participants must be present at the time of judging.
-
Costumes and styling must be original and put together by the participants; direct copying of another show's choreography, concept, or styling may lead to disqualification.
-
The traditional look should be authentic (correct Tracht elements) and the modern look should reflect genuine contemporary German/Berlin street fashion — not generic casual wear.
-
Any spoken introduction, narration, or theme statement must be in German (English subtitles or a printed translation may be displayed). Use of English narration may lead to disqualification.
-
Background music must be instrumental or in German, and free of explicit or offensive content.
-
Props are allowed but must be hand-carried, safe, and relevant to the theme. No hazardous, flammable, or oversized items.
-
All outfits and conduct must be appropriate for a school/festival audience.
-
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
-
One entry (one pair) per school is allowed.
