IN RETROSPECT
t was an extremely memorable farewell to an unforgettable and "one of its kind mega event." DeutschUtsav is a flagship event of Mayo College that celebrates German culture, heritage and language. It was one of the most humongous celebration both in scale and magnitude to be held anywhere in India
Mayo brought together the biggest congregation of some of the most inspiring German scholars (across the country)..(In fact, we had gone international) under one roof.
The final day of DeutschUtsav 2023 was filled with emotions, memories and excitement. It started with a Freie University Talk by Ms Vibhuti Sukhramani wherein she introduced German scholars to the nuts and bolts of German higher education.
We also had an interesting storytelling session with Ms Tripti Pareek, followed by an On the Spot Painting competition at the art school. Post lunch, students had gathered for German Fun games which were so flawlessly conducted by Ms Maria Kühn. Delegates had an insightful interaction with the chief guest before the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was a spectacular conclusion, featuring global dances, live music, and impactful speeches by dignitaries. It united both the participants and spectators in celebrations. The prize-giving ceremony marked the end, with Birla High School, Kolkata as winners and Mayo College as runners-up.
